Wild Women on Top - Coastrek 2012. What an amazing day, seven of my amazing clients (+hundreds of others) walked 50km from Palm Beach to Balmoral. The weather was horrible, very wet, very windy, very muddy and sooo much fun! It was a fantastic day with lots of laughs and good memories - we have all decided to do it again next year in better weather because it certainly couldn't be worse!! Great fundraiser for Fred Hollows Foundation also. Good on you Kath, Nuala, Claire, Kathi, Mel S, Mel L and Lisa. |

Paddy Pallin Adventure Race. This Adventure Race was fantastic! Really well organised and what a great day! Hundreds of competitors young & older. My group of 3 was myself, Emma & Lyndall - TEAM BLONDIE. We had a great day, got lost, got wet, got muddy and didn't stop smiling. In these advendutre races you cover the Mountain Bike, Kayak, Trail Run course collecting checkpoints along the way. A lot of fun with your mates. Don't miss future Advanture Race Challenges! Kosciuszko Trek! What a great long weekend. We car pooled to drive down to Jindabyne and stay in the beautiful Lake Crackenback Resort. Accommodation was fabulous a few quiet wines were had then an early night ready for trekking the next morning. We were given backpack, lunch and wet weather gear (which proved invaluable!!!) Unfortunately a severe weather warning was issued for the mountain so we were not allowed to camp out - a bit of a dissapointment but after we had our walk in the cold and really, really wet we were all quite grateful for the nice dinner, warm bar and warm bed! Next day we did a good trek from Dead Horse Gap over the ranges and up to the summit where we had lunch. We then got snowed on on the way back down. A really fun weekend, would love to do it again in Summer and enjoy the camp out at the summit next time. |

Triathlon Pink. What a fantastic day, despite the strong winds we all had a fabulous day. Starting in the same wave in the pool made it even more fun this year as we could all do it together. We had a couple of first time triathletes this year which was very special and exciting for all of us. Good on you girls for coming to all the training sessions and to make sure you were well prepared and ready for the challenge of the day. Fantastic effort everyone - can't wait til next year! |

Pub 2 Pub. A training favourite. A 14km run or walk, again for all the family. This event starts on Dee Why Beach and finishes at the beergarden of Newport Arms. A great family event raising funds for local hospitals, surf clubs and the Rotary Club. A beautiful day once again for this event with hundreds of walkers and runners. Well done to all who enjoyed this event and mark it in your diary for August next year. |

Go Natural Multi Sport Challenge. This is a really fun one! Starting at Akuna Bay you cycle on the road out to West Head and then back down to Akuna Bay 32km, then jump in a kayak and paddle 12 km around to Apple Tree Bay boat ramp, then you run for 12km on bush fire trails to finish back at Apple Tree Bay. You can go solo or you can compete as a team or a relay team of three (completing one leg each) I entered this one with my brother Martin. It was really, really, really fantastic! Most fun event I have ever competed in. Hard work so you will need to come to training for kayaking and running but so worth it. Hope to see more enter with me next year - definately won't miss this one!! |

Mothers Day Classic. This one is for all the family there is a 4km walk, 4km run and 8km run held at either Parramatta Park or in the Domain. A really fun day for everyone raising funds for Women's Cancer Research. This was great fun, a couple of mum's with their mum's and a couple with their daughters (including myself with my 6 year old daughter who ran the 4km run with me - best mothers day I've ever had!) Most of us did the 8km run in the Domain this year - thousands of people, fantastic venue and hardly even noticed it poured with rain for the whole event!! We'll be back at the Domain again next year! |

Gear up Girls. This bike ride is a women's only bike ride of either 15km or 50km. 15km is a loop around Homebush Bay and the 50km starts in Cronulla and ends with the others in Homebush Bay. This fantastic day for the girls is raising funds for Children's Oncology Foundation. This was a fabulous and well run event, it was a beautiful day and we rode from Cronulla to Homebush crossing only half a dozen rodes, amazing! Almost all the track was on bike tracks. Very safe and loads of fun - a must for next year! |

Juvenille Diabetes Foundation Ride for a Cure. 80 or 160 km bike ride raising money for this much needed foundation. As diabetes is such a growing disease in today's world this event, held in the Baroosa Valley SA is a great one to join in. This was a fantastic event which will definately be put on the annual calander. What a beautiful place the Barossa Valley is and a very scenic bike ride through the vineyards was absolutely stunning. This was an extremely well run event with no detail missed. Highly recommended and well done to Nicola, Philip and Anthony who all enjoyed the wonderful day completing the 80km and the 160km courses. |

Triathlon Pink was once again a fantastic event. There were over 1000 participants this year and what a great day, it was sunny and still, just a perfect day for riding your bike and having a run. As usual the pool was full of freestyles, breast stokers, back strokers - however you finished your 300m it didn't matter, it's all about fun and finishing a triathlon. All the girls who came to the free training sessions did really well (none had done a triathlon before) good on you girls, well done and I hope to see you and your friends back at Palm Beach for free training next August! Awesome day! |

The Bridge run, 9 km starting at Milsons Point, across the Harbour Bridge, down the Cahill Expressway, up Macquarie Street into Botanical Gardens, a loop in the gardens then back onto Macquarie street for a big downhill finish at the Opera House stairs! What a great day running through our sparkling harbourside. A must for next year again, everyone enjoyed the route and promised to do it again! The walk back over the harbour bridge to the cars was a perfect way to cool down and take in the sights whilst the bridge was still closed to traffic. Can't wait for next year! |

The Mothers Day Classic, raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. What a beautiful day! Parramatta run was great fun, sunny and lots of people. Once again everyone finished under an hour - great effort girls and guys. Word is the Domain event was spectacular once again with runners in the 8km and walkers in 8km for that event. A couple of the girls and their kids did the 4km walk and were a bit disappointed at the end that they hadn't done the 8km run - next year girls we'll all do the 8km at the Domain! Those 'in memory of' bibs on some of the people's backs get me everytime - running along with tears in your eyes. Good on you girls, keep up the good training and enjoying these fantastic events for fantastic causes! |

Maximum Adventure Kayaking Challenge. What a sensational day and yes, a challenge. Sheba and her bother Michael plus Sage and her brother-in-law Simon came equal 10th in the mixed doubles and Tina and Jude came in 3rd in the female doubles. Tremendous effort by all. We collected over half the checkpoints in the given 4hours 30mins running for the finish line just in time. A great deal of personal and team obstacles were overcome with kayaking from Balmoral Beach to Clontarf Beach in rain and big swell being one of them. Just fantastic effort by everyone I am so proud of your efforts. Congratulations and happy birthday Sheba - what a great way to spend your birthday. We enjoyed a champagne to celebrate! Photos to come. | |
